Fairchild AFB Open House

On Saturday, July 21st, Glen Ball, Clee Childress, and (John Hanson) went up to the Fairchild AFB open house to represent the TCRCM and the RC hobby. Glen wowed the crowd with his splendiferous displays of aerobatics with his P-47 and I awed them with several strafing passes and victory rolls with the Corsair. The weather was great - cool and essentially no wind. We quickly learned that flying off concrete leads to ground loops and long roll outs after landing! I had to ground loop the Corsair to keep it from going off the edge of the ramp. Of course the crowd thought it was all planned and I didn't disappoint them by telling them otherwise!
