'01 PRESIDENT's CORNER
By Gordon Anderson
| To begin I would like to again
thank Ron Gibby for his wonderful leadership for the past several years,
he is a tough act to follow.
Several of our club members were at the Northwest Model Expo in Puyallup, I found lots of stuff I could not live without, and came home with lots of small items. The show sure gives you the urge to go fly! Thanks to Larry Mitchell for again running the TCRCM booth, I spent a little time at the booth and met fliers from several of the local clubs. You might have noticed a roll of tickets in the frequency flag box at the field. These tickets are being used by the city to get an estimate of the fields use. When you or a spouse or visitor, go to the field please take a ticket for each of you. You can throw the ticket away, but please take one. The city will come by and read the ticket number on the roll to get an estimate of the field use. |
The flying season will start again very soon, so now is a good time to test your equipment and do necessary maintenance. Here is a list of a few things you might want to do:
Please try and make the February meeting, we need to fill the following positions:
Hopefully the people that held these positions in the past are interested in doing it again this year. I would like to see nominations for these positions and we can vote for our candidates in the February meeting. If you are interested in a position please come to the meeting and run for the position. If you have any questions about the responsibilities please give me a call and I will be glad to discuss the details with you.
Are there things you would like to see us do that we are not doing? Please let me know. Iım going to put a suggestion box at the field that will allow you to make anonymous suggestions, I will try my best to support what the group wants and needs.
Please bring one of your projects to the club meeting for show and tell, lets try and have a few things to show off at every meeting.
Thatıs all for now, hope to see you at the February meeting and every weekend at the field!
