PRESIDENT's CORNER

You will be receiving the new combination for the locks at our two flying sites in this newsletter. Please don’t share it with anyone who is not a member of our club. Our agreement with the owners of the flying sites states that only AMA and club members will fly model aircraft at the facilities. This is for the owners’ liability protection in case of an accident involving someone flying or handling an airplane at the field. We have excellent facilities and do not want to jeopardize them by not keeping our agreement with the owners. A list of club members is provided in this newsletter. Anyone whose name is not on this list should not be flying at the club fields. If you don’t see the name of someone on the list who you think is a member please check with Clee Childress. If it’s an oversight it will be corrected immediately; however, if they didn’t renew their membership they will have to take care of that before being able to use the facilities again.

I look forward to another great year of flying and hope you do too. Before signing off, Happy belated Birthday! to 84 years young Monty Stratton who successfully flew his plane on his birthday in March. I talked to several that said it was too windy for them to fly on that day. Way to go Monty!
