Vice President Paul Beebe called the meeting to order. There were 13 members and 1 guess presented.

VP Paul congratulated Terry Hane for placing first in Masters at the Creswell, Oregon Pattern contest. Paul also thanked CD John Hanson for putting on another successful bi-plane fun fly.

The August minutes were approved as published in The Leading Edge on a motion made by John Hanson and seconded by Allen Hare.

The Vice President reviewed the proposed changes to the By-Laws. Bob McDougall made a motion to accept the proposed changes with a second by Chief McMahan. There was no discussion. The motion passed with a favorable vote.

The upcoming events were reviewed: The Finley Field Final Fly-In on September 18^th, the Final Fling Fun Fly at the ORV field on October 2^nd and the Final Float Fly-In on October 9th.

Allen Hare gave a brief overview or RC Combat. He talked about the classes, equipment and scoring. He also pointed out that this is a fun event with a fun bunch of flyers. Allen then showed a video of the 1998 National RC Combat meet held in Montana. Allen then had another video featuring two flyers talking about the sport. Allen will loan either video to any interested member. Allen would like to see more local interest in RC Combat competition.
