2004 MEETING MINUTES
By Ted Tanasse & Dennis Cone
Nov 17, 2004
Before the meeting began, Bill Bowen brought an electric Ultimate Bi-Plane for show and tell. It was very fancy and Bill learned a lot about electrics with this aircraft. He shared some of what he learned before the meeting.
The meeting was called at about 7:20 by our TCRCM president, Dennis Cone. Dennis was late because he forgot we were having a meeting that night. Oops.
There was no treasury report because our treasurer, Fred Fisher, was not present at the meeting. My wife Bonnie had pumpkin muffins that took our minds off TCRCM treasury funds. Those muffins were a treasure in itself. Thanks, Bonnie!!!
Dennis asked for nominations of 2005 officers and the same officers of 2004 were nominated. Monty Stratton moved that the nominations be closed and Lyle Laughery seconded it. IT WAS UNANIMOUS!!! Congrats to our 2005 officers:
Dennis Cone - President
Bill Bowen - Vice President
Doug Larson - Secretary
Fred Fisher - Treasurer
Ted Tanasse agreed to be the editor of the TCRCM Leading Edge for 2005. (his 5th year as editor!)
New Business
We have a presentation to give to the Richland Parks and Recreation on February 15th. Bill Bowen will give a 15 minute presentation to give our 5 Year Plan, performance of our watering system, and our outreach to the community (ARC Event). There will be pictures of us flying our airplanes.
There was a comment that all our hobby stores should be listed in our newsletter. Ted Tanasse said it was a good idea and he would list them from now on.
Old Business
We need to make signs for the field as to where the pit area starts and we need to check if we need signs for overfly areas. These signs are mainly for non-club members. Members are suppose to know the rules before signing for AMA.
We were having a having a problem with the lock on our first gate, but Monty Stratton reported the Gordon Anderson had taken care of the problem. Thanks, Gordon.
The fence is spreading by the walk-in gate and is going to have a problem with locking soon. Dennis Cone said he could strengthen the fence up in the near future. Thanks, Dennis.
There is a concern over dirt left on the road ways after the squisher events. Dennis will look into having the groups responsible move the dirt back where it belongs after the events.
We have set up our events for next year. They are:
Polar Bear Fun Fly - January 1
Spring Opener Fun Fly - April 30th
Heli Fun Fly - May 20, 21, 22
Big Bird Event - July 16th and 17th
ARC Event - August 5th
Fun in the Sun Pattern - August 20th and 21st
Final Fling Fun Fly - October 8th
The dates are not official yet until we have looked at other events of the area. We also need CD’s for these events to happen, otherwise they will be canceled for 2005. Our meeting was adjourned at 8:47.
