MAY 2005 MEETING MINUTES

Attendees: Fred Fisher, Betty Fisher, Doug Larson, Gordon Anderson, Bill Bowen, Steve Sterling and Larry Mitchell. 

The meeting was opened by VP Bill Bowen at 1920 hrs. Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as published in the “Leading Edge” newsletter. 

Old Business: Install of runway sprinkler system is virtually complete except for some final finishing of soil replacement, leveling etc. at the trenches. The runway watering system is scheduled to run every day in the night time hours beginning about 2000hrs. Remaining work is the install of the vacuum breaker. 

Signs designating spectator area are yet to be done but in the planning. Plan to continue with plans to provide a designated helicopter flying area which may involve moving the fence and installing additional grass if the site grading can be accomplished for that. Engine test pad is still in the plans but unscheduled at this time. 

The ARC event is on for July 15. Discussed acquiring some additional shade structure for the ARC event…inquire at local rental business for donation of shade structure for the day including advertising for the rental business.
