Reviewed Year 2000
Significant Events and Achievements
- The year of the range fire. The grass at the
field was slightly singed even though all of the weeds and sagebrush
surrounding three sides of the field were decimated. Recovery of grass has
been excellent. The city of Richland did an excellent job providing us with
irrigation water this year. The field has never looked better. A special
thanks to Terry Hane who has done an excellent job as our Field Maintenance
Manager. Also, thanks to all who took their turn mowing the grass and Rob
Opgenorth who coordinated the cutting teams.
- Five year plan updated...thanks to Bill Bowen
and his committee.
- Club By-Laws amended to reduce membership fees
for Junior members to 50% of regular members fees.
- Power provided to the field ...special thanks
to Dennis Cone who took the lead. Major support was provide by Terry Hane.
- A permanent sun shade structure was installed

spent was donated to ARC. Received a $200.00 award from Radio Control Hobby
Trade Association (RCHTA). The event was very successful in spite of
conflict with the Tri-Cities Air Show and all planned activities were
completed.
- The Club ran a booth at the annual Northwest
Radio Control Model Exposition in Puyallup. Over $533 was raised for the
club treasury from this endeavor. Special thanks to Larry Mitchell and Don
