OCT. 2004 MEETING MINUTES
By Dennis Cone

Mid-Columbia Library, Conference Room
Wednesday, 10/20/2004

Call to Order; 7:00 PM

There were no minutes from the last meeting read as no one had them and Doug was absent.

Fred Fisher gave a treasurers report.

There was no newsletter report as Ted was sick.

Under ORV reports, Dennis gave a report on the ORV advisory committee meeting. The committee has recommended that the Parks and Recreation Board pursue getting State Funds to be used to upgrade the water system at the park. There have been a couple of proposals but the viable one and one recommended by the city engineer (Pete Rogalski) is to dredge the pond and reroute the pump used to irrigate the jeep tracks and the model field into this pond. This would reduce the load on the supply system as we would not have to have a positive pressure to operate the pump. We received a request from the Parks and Recreation Board to make a presentation to their committee telling them about who and what we are. This will be a time for us to honk our horn so to speak. We are talking about a power point presentation and Bill Bowen has volunteered to head this up. Thanks Bill. The presentation is scheduled for February 5, 2005.

Under field maintenance, Larry Mitchell said he had found a mower that has its own motor mounted on it and has to be pulled around by a small tractor such as what we are using for mowers now. He will get the information for us as he did not have it with him.

Editor’s note: The November 17th meeting will be at my house. Get on Van Giesen heading to West Ricland, turn on Grosscup, turn again on Fern Loop (only one way to turn on those roads from Van Giesen). You’ll find our tan with brown trim house at the back of the loop. Mail box has the no. 5434. See you there.
