ANNOUNCEMENTS & DISCUSSION GROUPS

There are separate e-mail "Announcements" and discussion groups available.  These are also known as list servers.

The TCRCM Announcements list is operated by the officers of the Tri-City Radio Control Modelers.  Its purpose is to provide members of TCRCM and other interested parties information on upcoming events, or other announcements of general interest concerning the club.  It is an announcements only list.  You may subscribe to receive the announcements, but only specific club officials have access to send announcements. 

There are also separate discussion group list servers available to interested parties which are not affiliated with TCRCM, but have many Southeastern Washington R/C enthusiast subscribers. One, TALKRC is oriented for everyone interested in aircraft. Another specializes in Helicopters.  Interested parties register their e-mail addresses with the list server using a web page.  Then they may send announcements (no TCRCM announcements please, they have their own announcements server), questions or open discussion items, and their message will automatically be forwarded to all other talkrc discussion group members via e-mail.

If you want both the TCRCM announcements AND to participate in a discussion list, you will need to subscribe to each of them.  You may unsubscribe at any time from either.

The list server is running on the webmaster's Linux machine, and uses the GNU software "Mailman." We have excellent control over who can and can't send us messages, members can easily subscribe and unsubscribe if they are tired of it, and Mailman doesn't divulge the members e-mail messages to anyone, including spammers, etc.
