May 2000 Fun Fly- Part 2

The second event required 5 touch and goes, with points awarded for precision.  If you touched down between 2 lines about 5 feet apart, you got 25 points. A nice try zone of about 10 feet on each side was good for 10 points.  Nothing else counted.  Luckily, the wind was down to about 5 kts, gusting occasionally to keep it interesting.  Those Yakima guys know how to put it right on the money!

Steve Sterling's Tiger 60 just makes the 25 point area.  Too bad he couldn't find the sweet spot on any other landings.

Greg McFadden, Gary Jones, Roy Lytle and Chief McMahan eyeball the landings.

The only 10 pointer he made.  The rest were centered dead on.

Roy Lytle has his Telemaster (??) in perfect landing attitude a few inches off the runway.

Charlie Main and Larry Mitchell watch as someone brings an airplane around on final approach.
