June Float Fly 2000

Another great Tri-City Radio Control Modelers Float Fly goes into the history books as a winner.  At least 15 flyers were there for Saturday, and almost as many (nobody took a tally) for Sunday.

Temperatures were in the eighties, with a severe clear sky and enough of a breeze to keep it interesting, but not enough wind to drive people away or cause any crashes.  Oh yes, there were crashes, but none weather related.

John Hanson is trying to "fish" his cub back into shore (he had a float attached to
fishing line and a pole and was casting over the plane).  Steve Sterling taxis his

Both Gary Jones and Glen Ball had Hanger 9 scale Cessna 182's on floats.
Not sure if this is Gary's or Glen's.  Glen's 182 had a major problem with
excessive dihedral when a wing spar broke.

trainer plane on floats and was providing instructions for pre-solo students.
