It's hard to determine the most spectacular crash.  TCRCM President Ron Gibby
experienced a loss of control (radio problem, interference??) and his Cub smacked
the water in a near vertical, powered, high speed descent that shook the trees and
and created a small tidal wave.  Glen Ball had a wing failure on his Cessna 182,
and Lee Brooks lost sight of his Cub behind the west trees, where it proceeded to
chase cars traveling on the other side of the dike. Steve Sterling also lost sight of
his DC Advance 60, but by some fate of luck recovered it after it reappeared
behind the crowd of observers. There were other mishaps.

Rating right up there with Ron Gibby's Cub smack was Ron "Chief" McMahan's
triple snap roll followed by a Slit-S, from 20 feet. The final milli-seconds of this feat
was captured before his Tiger 60 "Barbie" was reduced to balsa floatsam.
