A video of the ARC event is available at the KVEW TV station.
Events
It was mentioned our club should have a fall event. The Higgind Field Club has an Indian Summer event we could attend.
Field Maintenace
Should club continue with Spring Green maintenace? Voted yes.
Suggestion of a tank with chemicals to be hooked into the big guns was presented.
Generally agreed as a project next year. Speaking of the big guns, do heads need maintenace or replacement? For answer Dennis will be contacted.
The infield has been cut too short. It was noted the marks on the mower need to be repainted. The pit mower is set at the wrong height.
Garbage cans were put in shed. Move was based on constant problems with leaving them out.
Question of how many picnic tables are needed in the infield for set-up and testing. Problem is moving tables for mowing.
New Business
A package was received from Tony Spillman of the AMA to use for guidelines for the City of Kennewick for field in Columbia Park. The club instructed Doug Larson, the club contact with city, to take package to city; thus showing "due diligence' by club. Doug stated the city claims no liability to the site. Both Doug and Scott are to report back next meeting. The club concern is continued use of park site by non-AMA instructed pilots. There is a section in the AMA package that refers to appropiate park flying.
Does the club need a formal charging station as more pilots are using electrics?
An extention cover from the shed over the cement was discussed.
Volunteers are needed for Pattern Event on September 18 and 19. Bill will put a note on website and an email.
The club has been requested to give a presentation at Royal Columbian. Lyle and Bill will set a date.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
