Meeting Minutes Sept 21, 2011

Location: TCRCM Flying Field, Richland ORV Park, Bradley Rd off SR240
Time: 6:00 PM

Attendees: 10 Members, no visitors
Officers In Attendance: VP-- Larry Mitchell; Treasurer-- Scott Schering
Officers absent: Pres- Bill Bowen; Sec-- Linda Sterling

Meeting location and time was changed as shown to facilitate a planned show and tell from Hobby Town. Hobby Town was scheduled to demonstrate a number of RC products. However, they canceled just prior to the meeting.

All was not lost. Attendees all enjoyed a roundtable format where we discussed latest projects and what we were all doing model aircraft-wise. Weather was great for this outdoor meeting.

Field looks in great shape. Likely the best in 10 years. Thanks were given to George Wallace for maintaining the mowers (not a trivial task), Rob Opgenorth and others that have been mowing throughout the year, Doug Larson who has improved and maintained our irrigation system, and Craig & Terry Ann Christensen who recently did some reseeding in the bare spots, and have sprayed for the weeds.

The new concrete pit pads also really look great. Comments were made that they really helped in the recent Dist. Championship Pattern Meet held at the field the previous weekend. Many attendees of the meet commented that we were really fortunate to have our field.

Gordon Anderson reported further about the pattern meet. It was very successful, with attendees from Medford to the south to Campbell River BC in the north. Steve and Linda Sterling coordinated the Saturday night dinner, which much help from many others.

Scott Scherer provided a treasury report on both the Pattern contest and the bank account. Scott reported that membership chairman Rob Opgenorth had signed up several new members, and delivered the dues collected. Actual values were not recorded for this report.

Meeting was closed about 7:30PM.
