Tri-City Radio Controlled Modelers ARC-Day 2001

Chief McMahan and Gordon Anderson calibrate their transmitters before The Arc of Tri-Cities Event at the field. A fire truck was on display for the kids to watch.  The ladder went up and water shot out from the end of it.
From left to right, Matt Storm, Sean Storm, and Chris Stade from Troop 239 helped out at the TCRCM Airfield . Deputies Horacio Gonzoles and Jeff Quackenbush with Choco the German Shepherd, give a demonstration.
Curley the clown shows how to have fun in the shade by creating balloon swords for G.J. Pitkoff .  Gregg McFadden helps trainee, J.J. as Chief McMahan helps keep everything under control.
Dave Phipps helps Monique with the controls as Bill Bowen holds the button.  Del Nichols and John Hanson train Cesar...or was it the other way around?
Hotdogs and cool drinks were served by Brian Oldfield, Toni Brooks, Amanda Phipps, Jenny Phipps, and Steve Stark. The larger shelter provided plenty of shade for all the kids who needed it.  The weather was superb, but the wind came up later in the day.
The Kennewick Police provided rides for the kids with sirens and lights blazing. Ted Eggan, Brett Bowen, Ryan Phipps, and Lisa Anderson with Freakles, Puppy...and yes Sweetpea.
Kennewick Police, from left to right, Mike Hahn, Brenda Bell, and Todd Dronen were a hit with the kids with their police cars.  Rick Magnuson helped keep it organized. The two clowns at the event.  Say, which one,s Curley and which one's Larry...where's Mo?
